About Road Ready Casita
Hi, I’m John Suhr, and like many Casita owners, my journey began with a used trailer and a whole lot of questions.
Just before COVID, I purchased my 2017 Casita Liberty Deluxe—the same trailer you’ll see throughout this website. I was excited to start traveling, but I quickly discovered that owning a Casita came with a learning curve. There were plenty of Facebook groups filled with friendly, experienced owners willing to help, but the answers were scattered across thousands of posts. Finding the information I needed often meant spending hours searching through old conversations.
That experience inspired me to create Casita RVs & Classifieds, a Facebook community that has since grown to more than 10,000 members. Watching experienced owners generously help newcomers every day, I noticed the same question being asked over and over again:
“I just picked up my Casita today…now what?“
That simple question became the inspiration for Road Ready Casita.
I wanted to build the resource I wish I had on the day I brought my Casita home—a place where new owners could find clear, organized, step-by-step guidance instead of piecing together information from countless social media posts.
Whether you’re learning to tow, connect at a campsite, dump your holding tanks, winterize your trailer, or simply figure out what gear is actually worth buying, my goal is to help you spend less time worrying and more time enjoying your Casita.
Everything you’ll find here is built on real-world camping experience, practical routines, and lessons learned over years of ownership, combined with the collective knowledge generously shared by thousands of Casita owners throughout our community.

Road Ready Casita is continually growing.
As I continue traveling, I’ll be adding original campground photography, detailed step-by-step tutorials, gear reviews, videos, practical maintenance tips, and new ideas gathered from both my own camping adventures and the experiences shared by thousands of fellow Casita owners.
One feature I’m especially excited about is “What’s In My Casita,” where I’ll take you inside my own trailer and explain the gear I’ve chosen, why it has earned a permanent place in my camper, and how I actually use it on the road.
My goal isn’t simply to create another RV website.
My mission is simple:
